The special issue of Ecological Engineering entitled “Nature-and bio-based solutions for ecosystem restoration, landslide hazard mitigation, and ground improvement: research and application novelties” aims at building a multidisciplinary framework that can assist both researchers and practitioners in effectively transitioning from the latest scientific research to practical solutions for mitigating landslide hazards, preventing soil erosion, and improving hydro-mechanical soil characteristics. Contributions from the fields of geotechnical and ecological engineering, biodiversity and forestry management, hydrogeology, and agronomy, are welcome. The focus will be on developing practical solutions that can be applied in real-world scenarios. Additionally, there will be a significant emphasis on exploring the interactions between industry and research to bridge the gap between scientific knowledge and implementation. Submission Deadline: 31st March 2024.
