REGISTRATION OPEN – Join us for RootS25 International Workshop on Soil-Vegetation-Atmosphere Interaction – Bari (Italy), 6-8 November 2025

  

Dear Colleagues,
 
We are pleased to invite you to participate in RootS25 – the 3rd International Workshop on Soil-Vegetation-Atmosphere Interaction, which will take place at the Politecnico di Bari from 6 to 8 November 2025 (bullettin attached).
 
Registration is now open and must be completed no later than 20 October 2025 by filling out the following Google Form (link) and paying the conference fee via bank transfer.
All information and payment details are available at this link.
The program will feature keynote and invited lectures, technical sessions, and discussions dedicated to advancing the understanding of Soil-Vegetation-Atmosphere interaction.
 
We also warmly remind you of the special lecture by Prof. Lidija Zdravkovic (Imperial College London), entitled “Geotechnical Engineering for a Sustainable Society”, which will take place on the afternoon of 5 November 2025 at the Aula Magna “Domus Sapientiae” of the Politecnico di Bari.
Attendance at this lecture is free, and we encourage you to plan your arrival in Bari accordingly.
We sincerely hope you will join us for this event and look forward to welcoming you to Bari for RootS25.

3rd International Workshop RootS25 – Politecnico di Bari 6-8 Novembre 2025

  

Dear Colleagues,
 
We are glad to share an update on RootS25 – the 3rd International Workshop on Soil-Vegetation-Atmosphere Interaction, which will be held at the Politecnico di Bari from 6 to 8 November 2025.
The call for abstracts has closed with more than 60 contributions submitted by researchers worldwide, confirming the strong international and interdisciplinary interest in the event. This ensures a rich program of oral and poster presentations, fostering discussion and collaboration across communities.
We also warmly invite you to attend the special lecture by Prof. Lidija Zdravkovic (Imperial College London), entitled “Geotechnical Engineering for a Sustainable Society”, which will take place on the afternoon of 5 November in the Aula Magna “Domus Sapientiae” at the Politecnico di Bari. Attendance is free and open to all.
We look forward to welcoming you to Bari and will be sharing further updates as the conference approaches.

We are pleased to inform you that the deadline for abstract submission for the 3rd International Workshop RootS25 – Soil-Vegetation-Atmosphere Interaction has been extended to 20 July 2025.
We encourage all interested participants to take advantage of this opportunity to join us at the Politecnico di Bari from 6th to 8th November 2025.
All details regarding the workshop, including the updated deadline and submission guidelines, are available in the Bulletin and on the Call for Contribution page at www.roots-25.com.

3rd International Workshop RootS25 – Politecnico di Bari 6-8 Novembre 2025

  

Dear all,

we are pleased to invite you to participate to the 3rd International Workshop RootS25 – Soil-Vegetation-Atmosphere Interaction will take place at the Politecnico di Bari, Italy, from 6th to 8th November 2025, with a pre-conference lecture on the afternoon of 5th November.

The Bulletin of RootS is now available.

You can browse the digital flipbook [here], or, if you prefer, download and print the attached PDF version. The bulletin outlines the workshop objectives, the agenda, the invited keynote lecturers and details of the proposed Sessions covering the key topics of RootS25.

We are also delighted to announce that Prof. Lidija Zdravkovic from Imperial College London will deliver a special lecture entitled “Geotechnical Engineering for a Sustainable Society” in the afternoon of 5th November (in the Aula Magna “Domus Sapientiae”, Politecnico di Bari).

We invite you to participate in RootS25 and to submit a written contribution.

All relevant information is provided in the bulletin and also in the “Call for Contribution” page of roots-25.com.

Please note: the deadline for abstract submission is 30th June 2025 (see the “Important Dates” section in the bulletin). Don’t miss it!

After abstract acceptance, the authors are required to submit a 4-page paper for peer review and publication in the ISSMGE open-access proceedings. Following RootS25, a selection of high-quality papers will be invited to submit an extended version (full-size journal paper) for peer-reviewed publication in a special issue of an international scientific journal.
