Dear Colleagues,

The Department of Structural and Geotechnical Engineering of Sapienza University of Rome is pleased to announce two invited seminars on contemporary Danish geotechnical engineering, to be delivered by Prof. Yuepeng Dong (Technical University of Denmark) and Prof. Andrea Franza (Aarhus University).

The seminars will take place on Tuesday, 30 June 2026, from 15:30 to 17:30, at the former Library of the Department of Structural and Geotechnical Engineering, Via Eudossiana 18, Rome.

The presentations will address recent advances in geotechnical engineering, with particular focus on bearing capacity of soils, excavation-induced ground movements, tunnelling and soil–structure interaction.
