Ph.D. Scolarship at Newcastle University
Dr Yilin Gui is looking for candidates who could be interested in a PhD scholarship in Newcastle.
This doctoral project is about the development of a thermo-hydro-mechanical model capable of describing the effect of CO2 intermittent injection and expansion on the stability of a wellbore. The project starts from September 2018 and it lasts for 3.5 years. The closing date for submitting the application is the 13th of July.

5-9 Nov: ALERT Olek Zienkiewicz Winterschool 2018
The ALERT Olek Zienkiewicz Winterschool 2018 Natural versus compacted clayey soils: from micro to macro behaviour and modelling will be held at the Politecnico di Bari (Italy) from the 5th to the 9th of November 2018.
As described in the programme attached, the school is organised in collaboration by The Alliance of Laboratories in Europe for Education, Research and Technology (ALERT Geomaterials) and the geotechnical groups at Politecnico di Bari and the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (Spain). NEW – Anagrafe Dottorato di Ricerca
E’ disponibile una prima parte del database relativo all’Anagrafe del Dottorato di Ricerca predisposta dal GNIG. Una volta completo, il database conterrà le informazioni relative a tutte le tesi di Dottorato discusse nell’ambito di corsi di Dottorato di Ricerca attivati negli atenei italiani e di interesse per il nostro SSD. L’attuale versione del database disponibile sul sito GNIG (Sezione Ricerca/Tesi di Dottorato), contiene i dati relativi a circa 210 Tesi di Dottorato svolte nell’ambito di Corsi attivati in 17 sedi.
Le procedure di raccolta dei dati relativi alle singole tesi di dottorato sono ancora in corso ed a breve sarà disponibile un nuovo aggiornamento del database. Invitiamo tutti a segnalare eventuali refusi nei dati già presenti nel database inviando una mail all’indirizzo di posta elettronica gbiondi@unime.it. Per velocizzare il lavoro di raccolta dei dati, i singoli dottori di ricerca possono inviare allo stesso indirizzo le informazioni relative alla propria tesi di dottorato compilando l’apposito documento (Dati e Autorizzazione) ed eventualmente autorizzando il GNIG a rendere disponibile il relativo file pdf sul sito ufficiale del gruppo.
