10th ALERT Olek Zienkiewicz Winterschool 2018, Bari, 5-9 November 2018

Dear colleagues,

we are pleased to announce that the 10th ALERT Olek Zienkiewicz Winterschool 2018,

Natural versus compacted clayey soils: from micro to macro behaviour and modelling,

will be held from the 5th to the 9th of November 2018 in Bari, Italy.

The Winterschool is organised by the Alliance of Laboratories in Europe for Education, Research and Technology (ALERT), the Politecnico di Bari and the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya. It will focus on the hydro-mechanics of clayey soils, either natural, or compacted, and provide knowledge about their genesis and consequent features at the micro to meso-scale, and about how their macro-response varies with the micro to meso-features.

The ALERT OZ Winterchool will be organised in 4 hours morning sessions and 4 hours afternoon sessions, from Monday the 5th of November, till Friday the 9th.

The lectures will be delivered by experienced lecturers from different universities: Universitat Politecnica de Catalunya, University College London, Université Grenoble Alpes, Ecole de Ponts Paris Tech., Politecnico di Bari, Politecnico di Milano, Sapienza University of Rome, Purdue University.

The school attendance is open to PhD students and Young Doctors from all around the world.
