PhD position on “Bio-based stabilisations for sustainable ground improvement to mitigate the risk of landslides” – University of Genova

Applications are welcome for a PhD position at the University of Genoa (Italy) on “Bio-based stabilisations for sustainable ground improvement to mitigate the risk of landslides”. The main objective of this doctoral project is to devise sustainable bio-based stabilisations for problematic soils (e.g. swelling or collapsible soils, sulphate-rich soils, etc.) to enhance the resilience of infrastructure earthworks (such as dams, embankments, cuttings) subjected to extreme rainfall events. More details on the project and application submission on this flyer.  Application deadline 10 July 2023 12h00 (Italian time).
